Job Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for solving problems, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and running rates and all trial runs.

Responsibilities:

  • Track business award from customer. Develop and communicate internal master schedule to team
  • Track and follow up on open issues and ECI's as required throughout the launch process.
  • Coordinate orders and track delivery status of incoming components and trial part shipments to customer.
  • Track progress and installation of equipment and tooling needed for program.
  • Create required documentation for customer submission.
  • Coordinates all trial runs, including support of actual building of parts at each stage of the program.
  • Establish and maintain BOM's.
  • Track completion of packaging, process layout, hiring and training of employees, visual controls.
  • Coordinates run at rates.
  • Check and follow up for provisional, color approval, and supplier approvals.
  • After launch, follow up on productivity, cycle time, defect rate, delivery, and quality issues.

Qualifications:

  • BS from four-year college or university in a technical field, e.g. engineering, science, mathematics; or five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, analyze material test data, and analyze performance data.
  • Skilled in computer usage including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to write reports and effectively present information to groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to understand the concepts of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), control plans, and measurement systems.
  • Thorough understanding of IATF 16949 and ECI System
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work within manufacturing environment as needed.
  • Overtime, when needed.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $36.06 - $43.27 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
