Job Responsibilities
- Monitor control panels and adjust valves and gates manually or by remote control to regulate flow of industrial wastewater.
- Observe variations in operating conditions and interpret meter and gauge readings and tests results to determine load requirements.
- Start and stop pumps to control flow of industrial waste water through treating, settling and sludge press processes.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks in waste water treatment area.
- Maintain log of operations and record meter and gauge readings; such as test results, chemical usage, etc.
- Collect water samples and conduct laboratory tests on wastewater.
- Maintain inventory and report usage/needed material to designated personnel.
- Load and unload hazardous chemicals from truck by means of lift truck and physical handling.
- Share responsibility for obtaining and moving chemical/materials for plating operation.
- Provide backup assistance to the process/laboratory technician.
- Preparation/loading of hazardous waste shipments.
- Sign Hazardous Materials / Waste shipping papers.
- Prepare SMR data for regulatory submittal.
- Perform weekly hazardous waste inspections as per regulatory requirements.
Associate Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED
- Background Check
- Able to Lift 30 pounds
- Drug Test
- Must be at least 18 years old
The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $20.00 - $35.00 per hour.
This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
