Description

Under the general direction of the Supervisor, responsible for reviewing, analyzing and prioritizing all shipping points within the Distribution Center. The Routing Coordinator - Distribution works in an area that is time sensitive and fast paced, where judgment and initiative are required in order to meet costumer deadlines and requirements. This role works with various departments within the company as well as the final customer.  This person is the department expert on all activities related to the Distribution Center. This position is responsible for knowing the needs of the sales department and end customer and the capabilities of the Distribution Center. Please email resumes to [email protected].

Shift: MONDAY - FRIDAY 9:30AM - 6:00PM.

  • Understands how to manifest and trouble shoot deliveries through World Link
  • Responsible for executing, reviewing and maintaining open order report on a daily basis
  • Communicates daily with Supervisors on open issues
  • Ensure all customer routing guides are up to date and current
  • Must be able to work overtime on short notice
  • Expedite critical shipments as required
  • Communicates changes in shipping procedures including routing guide changes
  • Provide information and support to the sales department and coordinate daily rush priorities
  • Help identify, initiate and implement continual process improvement activities designed to optimize process efficiency and reduce cost.
  • May occasionally cover duties of others within the department in special circumstances (holidays, vacation schedules, PTO, special projects)

Job Responsibilities

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and prioritizing all shipping points
  • Responsible for printing all deliveries and maintaining an even work flow
  • Responsible for creating groups for Rapid Ship Program (RSP) shipments.
  • Responsible for creating Wave Pick tickets for multiple deliveries
  • Key contact between Sales, Customer Service, Order Management and Distribution Center
  • Interacts with end customer and Traffic Departments
  • Responsible for the on line routing for various Key Account customers and adhering to their specific requirements and ship windows
  • Interacts with on site (will call) customers
  • Responsible for scheduling LTL shipments and interacts directly with the carriers drivers
  • Responsible for post good issuing all orders as related to company polices
  • Ability to process back orders, re print orders, look up material on hand, look up delivery status, look up deliveries by order number, track deliveries on shipping floor, change ship via code, look up manifest data, along with all other associated SAP functions

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Must have good interpersonal skills
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Distribution environment
  • Experience with SAP and/or Warehouse Managing systems
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Must be able to perform all Sr. Material Handler
  • Interface with outside vendors, service providers or contractors as required
  • Must be able to work in fast paced environment
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex instructions and procedures
  • Demonstrate superior ability to multi-task and organize work
  • Must work as part of a team to achieve departmental goals
  • Knowledge in Word, Excel, Outlook, and World Link
  • Strong SAP skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Must be available for overtime
  • Must be able to read and comprehend technical information and documents such as bills of lading and airway bills
  • Proficient in all levels of Distribution center activities and job functions

Associate Requirements

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $20.00 - $22.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
