Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate monthly safety talks with production departments or as required
- Conduct quality stand down meetings as quality issues warrant
- Initiate quality containments and system purges
- Support IATF 16949 practices and initiatives
- Time, attendance and vacation management
- Input time and attendance on a daily basis
- Work with finance to support budget activities
- Responsible for input of production rates, efficiency, scrap on a daily basis
- Evaluate and solve production problems using 5-step, 8 phase or equivalent techniques
- Manage production and maintenance operations including all activities of the plant floor
- Assist engineering with Process development and documentation of manufacturing work instructions
- Support prototyping activities of new product development as well as service requirements for current and past models
- Conduct performance evaluations
- Enforce all shop rules, every day
Qualifications
- Qualifications include a BS degree and a minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment in a Supervisory capacity
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of machining and assembly practices, tools and fixtures
- Excel at working in a team environment
- Familiar with product construction and application
- Knowledge of production scheduling and plant operations
- Very strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer literate, particularly in plant floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications
- Successful candidate should have a proven record of continual improvement in cost control, quality and productivity
- Experience in safety, quality and housekeeping on the plant floor
