Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain current inventory levels, ensuring that stock is available to meet production demands.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with inventory records.
- Implement and manage inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential shortages, and excesses.
- Prepare and present inventory reports to management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Utilize inventory management software to maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Oversee the proper storage of materials, ensuring they are stored in a manner that maintains quality and accessibility.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to manage incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Optimize warehouse layout and organization to improve efficiency.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to forecast material requirements and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation for all inventory-related activities.
- Allocate inventory to specific jobs accurately to support production schedules.
- Track and record inventory usage per job to ensure correct billing and job costing.
- Collaborate with production managers to ensure materials are available for scheduled jobs and projects.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED Required.
Language Skills:
- Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to perform advanced mathematical computations; ability to convert metric units correctly and apply the conversions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
