Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Drop Lot Coordinator to oversee daily yard operations, trailer movements, shuttle driver activities, and dock coordination. This position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient trailer flow, ensuring accurate documentation, supporting safety initiatives, and serving as the first line of security for inbound and outbound traffic. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and can effectively coordinate multiple priorities while communicating with drivers, customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Schedule: Monday - Wednesday, 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM; Thursday, 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Hours: 42 hours per week
- Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities
- Manage trailer pulls from all locations, including empties, raw materials, and pack returns.
- Monitor and maintain accurate computer records and system entries.
- Complete and distribute shift reports.
- Oversee driver turnover activities and support equipment maintenance programs, including preventive maintenance services and inspections.
- Coordinate safety-related activities, including training, accident reporting, and compliance initiatives.
- Check in all inbound and outbound trucks and inspect trailers, containers, and tankers.
- Accurately timestamp and maintain inbound and outbound paperwork.
- Coordinate and manage dock moves as directed by the customer.
- Dispatch and delegate yard moves to yard drivers.
- Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance with approved vendors and ensure replacement equipment is available when needed.
- Report accidents and safety incidents immediately to management and corporate safety personnel.
- Manage trailer inventory for company-owned and third-party equipment.
- Conduct daily yard audits, tracking trailer locations and ensuring trailer jacks and wheel chocks are properly secured.
- Serve as the frontline contact for gate security and inbound traffic.
- Perform routine yard safety and security inspections.
- Secure gates and maintain facility security when not in use.
- Manage outbound load paperwork and documentation.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 0-3 years of administrative, logistics, transportation, or related experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively lead and coordinate drivers and operational personnel.
