Description
CNC Machinists produce parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. In this role, CNC Machinists adhere to quality and safety standards, complete accurate quality records as per SIS ISO standard requirements, and maintain the minimal daily maintenance requirements of equipment and supplies. These positions will pay wages dependent on skill level and will require testing validation. Testing can be conducted every 90 days for advancement opportunities.
- Level 1 - $18.50-$19.50/hr
- Level 2 - $20-$25/hr
- Level 3 - $26-$33/hr
- Level 4 - $30-$39/hr
- Shift differential of $1.50 per hour for 2nd shift, per eligibility requirements

Job Responsibilities
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities: (Include the following; however, other duties may apply.)
Level 1 and 2 Machinists will be considered however testing will be required to determine skill level. Pay is dependent on skill level.
- All of Machinist Level 1 and 2 Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Ability to read and interpret all advanced mechanical blueprints including all views projections of pictorial and orthographic drawings.
- Ability to perform level 2 responsibilities on a 2nd machine type of the following (mills, lathes, routers, and moulder).
- Ability to program circles, arcs, drilling, tapping, boring or program lathe using canned cycles, O.D./I.D. turning.
- Use CMM to perform quality inspections.
- Ability to tram in a rotary on a mill or properly set the centerline on a lathe.
- Ability to make alterations to programs.
- Is knowledgeable in feeds and speeds for CNC machines and materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operations.
- Able to correctly identify all materials.
- Intermediate understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED Required
Language Skills:
- Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations; ability to convert metric units correctly and apply the conversions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift or carry up to 45 pounds, stand, walk, bend, twist, reach above shoulders, and perform repetitive motion tasks consistently throughout the shift will be essential. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
