Staff Management | SMX is seeking a Machinist located in La Mirada, CA. The position associates must be knowledgeable on basic machine shop fundamentals to process final machining in various forms of weldment parts to product specifications. Job Responsibilities
- Operation of small machining center to large gantry, or double column centers.
- Clean machined parts and deburring
- Inspect part for final prep work
- Perform status check/set up
- Check Operator messages and tool status
- Organize parts to process
- Clock-In / Clock-Out daily work orders job times without fail
- Basic CNC Machine operating skill or Manual Milling Machine operation experience
- Knowledgeable on CNC machining G-code and M-code
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics
- Understand machining tooling for the various types of machining processes
- Must possess excellent communication, problem solving, team interface and interpersonal skills
Associate Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED
- Background Check
- Able to Lift 30 pounds
- Drug Test
- Must be at least 18 years old
The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $27.00 - $29.00 per hour.
This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
