Job Responsibilities
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective maintenance operations.
- Schedule and assign maintenance tasks to team members, ensuring timely completion and adherence to maintenance schedules.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repair work on equipment, machinery, and facilities as needed.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
- Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory of spare parts and supplies.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source and procure necessary parts and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for the maintenance team.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures, standards, and best practices to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend modifications or upgrades to enhance productivity and quality.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a light assembly and fabrication environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience leading a team and coordinating maintenance activities.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use email, navigate software interfaces, and perform basic data entry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
