Description

Staff Management | SMX is looking for a skilled Spray Painter to join our production team! As a Spray Painter you will be responsible for filling, smoothing and repairing each product's surface, mixing the coating liquids, and spraying each layer according to specifications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Cleans and prepares surfaces for painting
  • Perform machine setup and operate machinery in a safe manner
  • Record scrap accurately and dispose of daily
  • Paints required surfaces using environmental and safety controls
  • Perform lock-out and tag-out procedures for clearing equipment faults and restoring machine energy in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain 5S standards
  • Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications
  • Inform team leader or production manager of all quality/safety non-conformities
  • Disassembles and cleans equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional decision-making skills
  • Follows all PPE requirements
  • Exercises critical thinking to solve practical problems and deal with variable situations
  • Basic math skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products

Associate Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Background Check
  • Able to Lift 50 pounds
  • Drug Test
  • Must be at least 18 years old

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $15.50 - $15.50 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
