Staff Management | SMX in SALEM, INDIANA is hiring production and assembly associates in a manufacturing environment, primarily on 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and rotating night shifts for our premier client, GKN Sinter Metals, a global leader in powder metallurgy. Traditional 8-Hour Shifts
- 1st Shift: 7:00 pm -3:00 pm
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm -11:00 pm
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 pm -7:00 am
12-Hour Swing Shifts
- A/B Shift: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
- C/D Shift: 6:00 pm - 6:00 am

Job Responsibilities
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desired but not required
- Perform general labor and support to multiple manufacturing departments
- Able to read, count accurately, and follow verbal and written directions
- Must be able to work as part of a team to achieve Production goals
- Able to stand and/or walk for the duration of 8-12 hour shift
- Will be expected to be flexible with moving departments as needed as every role plays a huge part in overall success
- Training is provided to all new Associates
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Demonstrate ability to problem solve.
- Experience in fostering a safe and healthy work environment.
- Stand for the duration of 8 to 12 hour shift.
- Must pass basic math and reading test.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- You can average $675 or more per paycheck!
Associate Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED

- Must be at least 18 years old
The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $15.45 - $18.05 per hour.
This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
