Job Responsibilities

Supervises and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in maintaining and operating all equipment. Supervises employees in the Manufacturing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Managing People-Includes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating, and process improvement. Takes responsibility for subordinates' activities; Makes self available to staff; Provides regular performance feedback.

Communication- Must be able to report any and all issues concerning lines or products to members of upper management. Must take an active role and participate in meetings as required.

  • The preferred background would include a bachelor's degree in business or a technology-related field with 3-5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $31.25 - $36.05 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
