Job Responsibilities

Job Duties

  • Primary responsibility is to ensure quality objectives and standards are maintained, in turn ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Correctly identify resin required for a specific mold or finished good.
  • Inspect, sort and repack product as needed.
  • Perform product and process audits.
  • Measure and document SPC as required.
  • Performs inspections.
  • Piece approval.
  • Conducts Gauge R&R's.
  • Supports Quality Audits.
  • Gauge inspection.
  • Uses Precision Gauges; calipers, height stress, Rockwell, gloss meter, dial indicator, etc.
  • May act as internal auditor for the Quality Department.
  • Helps to create, train, and maintain Quality Alerts.
  • May be required to conduct on-site sorting at customer sites.
  • Attends quality system meetings, as necessary.
  • Follows ISO 14001 and IATF: 16949 requirements per standard.
  • Review and analyze Hold for Inspection product and communicate within Quality and Operations Departments.
  • Assist in training new operators on Quality documents
  • Maintain a safe work environment while complying with the departmental procedures
  • regarding environmental protection.
  • Audit and report scrap.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have 1 -3 years experience in quality preferably in the automotive industry and be able to work with both internal & external customers.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have demonstrated skill for strong attention to detail and have good planning abilities.
  • Good attendance is critical. Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed. Occasional travel to other facilities is required.
  • Proficient in mathematics, able to read and understand instructions.
  • Good computer skills required. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Word, Access and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate across all levels of the organization.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $20.00 - $21.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
