Job Responsibilities

Department Responsibilities may vary which may include:

  • Efficient processing of all logistical activities: on time and to a high standard with assured adherence to local and international legislation
  • Contribute to the continuous adaptation and development of the procedures and processes within the area of logistics
  • Track shipments and update the status of goods to relevant parties
  • Prepare and manage documentation such as bills of lading, transport manifests and customs entries
  • Ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and handling of goods
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal and external client inquiries and concerns
  • Resolve any freight delivery issues such as delays or mishandlings
  • Communicate with internal and external clients, shipping agents, and freight carriers
  • Manage hazardous cargo requirements
  • Ensure all paperwork is accurate and complies with regulations

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass skills test
  • Availability to work flexible working hours (including weekends & holidays)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required City of Houston and Customs Border Protection badge and seal

Associate Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Background Check
  • Able to Lift 40 pounds
  • Drug Test
  • Stand for Shift Duration
  • Must be at least 18 years old
