Take control of your schedule with our flexible 2nd shift (3:00 PM-11:00 PM) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM-7:00 AM) option, and earn a pay of $27/hour (Shift Premium - $0.85/hour for 2nd & 3rd shift.) Job Responsibilities

  • Experience as a journeyman machine repair, toolmaker, millwright or pipe fitter is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand hydraulic, pneumatic schematics and blueprints.
  • General machine rebuilds skills required (spindles rebuild, replace bearings, replace hydraulic/pneumatic lines etc.)
  • Knowledge of tool room equipment operation such as Bridgeport, Engine Lathe, Surface Grinder etc.
  • Ability to manufacture minor components in the tool room is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing and/or cellular manufacturing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CNC control systems is a plus.
  • G-Code programming knowledge is a plus.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • General welding skill is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge and ability to use a personal computer.
  • Knowledge of industrial facility codes and practices.
  • Maintain world class safety practices.
  • Participate in cross functional team meetings to perform problem solving activities.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting of production machining operations such as broaching, turning, spline rolling, gauging, washing, milling, drilling, grinding and other general machining operations.
  • Assist with set-up and changeover of production equipment, as necessary.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting of automated material handling, conveyance devices and robotics.
  • Minimal supervision required to make machine modifications after initial assignment and explanation of work required.
  • Perform predictive and preventative maintenance.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $27.00 - $27.85 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
