Job Responsibilities
Department Responsibilities may vary which may include:
- Make sure paperwork related to the cargo is correct
- Keep accurate record of shipment details when cargo is arriving from worldwide points
- Prepare and palletize cargo as needed
- Assure proper handling and delivery of cargo and operations of related equipment
- Stage cargo for outgoing flights and ensuring shipments comply with all domestic and international requirements
- Sort and process priority postal products in a time critical environment
- Operate ground equipment, including tugs, pallet jacks, and forklifts
- Perform routing cleaning of facilities and work areas
- Follow safety regulations which include proper use of ground equipment and wearing proper safety items
- All other duties as assigned
Additional Requirements:
- Experience in warehouse settings is preferred, but not required
- Must be able to proficiently speak, read and write in English
- Basic math skills - addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the fly
- Must be able to pass skills test
- Able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds, and able to continually bend, twist, and raise arms above head
- Strong work ethic and positive mindset
- Availability to work flexible working hours (including weekends & holidays)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required City of Houston and Customs Border Protection badge and seal
Associate Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED
- Background Check
- Able to Lift 50 pounds
- Drug Test
- Stand for Shift Duration
- Must be at least 18 years old
